The Euromoney Egypt Conference, scheduled for 28-29 September at the SemiRamis Intercontinental Hotel in Cairo, is expected to serve as a platform for policy and strategy announcements. The line-up of speakers from the Egyptian government, local and international investors will set the scene for the economic direction of Egypt over the next, crucial, twelve months. As the bulk of media attention is focused on the political arena, the vital development of the business and investment environment continues. The Euromoney Conference will cover four main investment areas (renewable energy, SMEs, infrastructure and pension funds) under the banner Investing to Compete: Competing to Invest.

"As we enter a year of significance for the political future of Egypt, Euromoney is once again on hand to analyse and understand how the markets see the road ahead," said Richard Banks, Director of Euromoney Conferences Middle East. "Politics is important, but business and investment must continue. As the global economy carries on – so must Egypt."

The Euromoney Egypt Conference has been held in Cairo every September since 1995. It features the key economic ministers and international and domestic investors and financiers. The highlight of the programme is a one-on-one live interview between H.E. Dr. Ahmed Nazif, Prime Minister of Egypt, and Richard Ensor, CEO of Euromoney Institutional Investor plc. Every year over 1000 invited guests attend the conference.
