European Rocket Launched with Telecoms Satellite

An Ariane rocket took off from Europe's Spaceport at Kourou, French Guiana, at 0559 GMT Sunday after being delayed for 24 hours due to bad weather, Arianespace announced. 

It was the 134th flight for Arianespace, the commercial arm of the European Space Agency. 

The European rocket was to place into orbit the first telecommunications satellite of the new operator Europe¥Star UK Limited – PARIS (AFP)
