Eva Mario Garrido in International Festival of Volubilis

Eva Mario Garrido with her dance group composed of  five dancers performed on August 8, in the International Festival of Volubilis, which marked the end of the festival.  <i>La Presse</i> reports that the young Flemenco dancer started to dance professionally when she was only fifteen years old. She has worked with important dancers like Javier Barón, Merche Esmeralda, Manolete, Joaquín Cortés, Rafael Cortés and Barishnikov. She set up her own dance group in 1988. She does the choreography of her stage shows herself while her husband, the guitarist Paco Jarana, writes the music for her shows. Eva Mario Garrido has performed in different stages around the world including the Theatre de la Ville (Paris), the Opera in Wupperthal (Germany) and the Palacio de Bellas Artes (Mexico).
