Eventscom Bahrain to Organise Upcoming “Central Europe & Eastern New Economies Strategies with the Gulf States” Forum in Partnership with Crans Montana Forum Middle East”

 

Eventscom has officially announced the Company’s involvement in the upcoming Crans Montana Forum Middle East (CMF - ME) “Central Europe & Eastern New Economies Strategies with the Gulf States” Forum which will be held under the patronage of H.H. Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel and Spa, from April 8 - 10, 2008.
Eventscom’s role will be as logistical partner: overseeing total Event Management and Public Relations activities for the high profile economic and investment event—which is the first of its kind to connect the GCC with the Central and Eastern European nations. Conceptualised by CMF-ME, the Forum will be held in association with the Federation of GCC Chambers, Durrat Al Bahrain, United Nations for Industrial Development (UNIDO), EUROCHAMBERS, Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB) and Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
CMF - ME Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Mr. Osama A. Al Khajah, expressed his utmost confidence in Eventscom’s capabilities and aptitude for this particular event. Eventscom had previously worked with CMF in collaboration with the Bahrain Ministry of Interior on the Homeland and Global Security Forum, which took place in November of last year. “Their performance as a local company certainly parallels—if not rivals—international standards. Hence, their expertise and proven performance record, combined with their understanding of the local and regional markets, made them the most apt choice to manage such a high profile, global event,” Mr. Khajah remarked.
 
Eventscom CEO and Founder, Mrs. Zahra’a Taher responded by thanking Mr. Khajah for his kind words and re-affirmed the Company’s dedication to ensuring the smooth execution of the Forum. The Forum is expected to draw leading key figures and decision makes such as high profile government officials and top businessmen from countries in the EU, Central and Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and the GCC. Discussion topics are targeted to benefit a diverse range of participants including: Ministers of  finance, economy, economic development, trade, investment promotion, industry, oil and gas, telecommunications; High Level Officials of International and Regional Organizations, Chambers of Commerce, Investment Promotion Agencies, Investment Authorities and Sovereign Wealth Funds; and Chairmen, CEO’s and Directors of major Companies.
The key sectors which will be on focus during the forum are: Energy, Renewable Energy, Natural Resources, Transport, Infrastructure, Mining, Oil and Gas, Housing, Telecommunication, IT, Tourism, Public Health, Trading, Financial Services and Banking, Manufacturing, etc. These will be discussed through: Plenary sessions, Specialised and National sessions, Round tables, and National and Corporate presentations. The forum will also provide a platform for countries and businesses alike to showcase and promote investment and business development opportunities in various economic sectors.

Their participation will simultaneously reinforce bilateral relations with GCC countries. The confirmed involvement of H.E. Abdul Rahman Al Attiyah, Secretary General of GCC; H.E. Dr. Essam Fakhro, President of FGCC; and H.E. Pierre Simon, President of EUROCHAMBERS, will play a vital role in the wake of Europe-GCC talks of the proposed free trade agreement (FTA) to accelerate the process of its inception as well as the activation of the MoU signed between EUROCHAMBERS and FGCC for economic cooperation.
