Three Iraqis were killed and 8 others were injured when an improvised explosive device went off in Abu Gharib district of western Baghdad, security sources said.

The sources told Petra's reporter in Baghdad that the explosion took place near shops.

Security forces rushed to the scene, and cordoned off the area before sending the victims to hospital for treatment.
