A bomb exploded at a branch of Bank Leumi in west Jerusalem on Wednesday, but there were no injuries, according to Israel's radio.
According to the report, one woman who works in the bank said that she saw a young person leaving a small bag minutes before the explosion.
Police have opened an investigation to determine the cause, said the Jerusalem Post, adding that the police have safely cleared the bank.
According to the report, one bank manager got a phone call in the morning that warned him that 20 bombs will be laid in the bank branches.
He was also told that his wife and daughter were kidnapped, but this was proved to be false, said the radio.
It was also reported that bombs were found in 20 branches of the bank.
18 bombs were fake and 2 only were real; one of them exploded.
Citing initial police reports, the radio said that the bomb attack was related to ransom demands, ruling out the possibility that Palestinians carried out the attack for political reasons - Albawaba.com
