ALBAWABA- The British Maritime Trade Operations Authority reported an incident 54 nautical miles northwest of Mokha, Yemen, involving an explosion near a commercial ship.

Fortunately, there were no injuries among the crew, but the blast caused damage to the vessel.

The Houthis in Yemen have not yet commented on the incident, but they are presumed to be responsible for the attack.

This assumption is based on their ongoing blockade on vessels bound to Israel, in response to the Israeli blockade on Gaza.

Just two days prior, a Houthi military spokesperson announced that the group had targeted two British-owned vessels in the Red Sea and downed a US MQ Skylark-9 drone.

Additionally, they released a video showing the shooting down of the US drone.
