An explosion ripped through the bazaar in a southern Tehran suburb, destroying walls and shattering windows but causing no injuries, newspapers said Saturday.
The Entekhab paper quoted police investigators, as saying the cause of Friday's blast may have been a bomb planted in a television that had been left behind in a shop for repair.
The explosion occurred in the central bazaar in Rey, a southern suburb of the Iranian capital, not far from a Shiite Muslim shrine.
Firefighters were called in to extinguish the subsequent fire, the daily said - TEHRAN (AFP)
