More than 70 Ferraris driven by members of the Ferrari Owners Club UAE pulled up to the newly opened Crowne Plaza Abu Dhabi Yas Island today.
As Yas Island opens for the inaugural F1 race on the Yas Marina Circuit on Sunday November 1st, this was the perfect time and place for the Ferrari Owners Club UAE to meet. The Ferrari Owners Club UAE was founded in 2008 by over 40 owners passionate for the brand and its cars. Over a year later it is over 80 members strong. The club has members from more than 20 different nationalities and aims to organise various track events on the Yas Marina Circuit throughout the year.
Fred Kamperman, President of the Ferrari Owners Club UAE commented: “We are delighted to gather in Abu Dhabi for this momentous occasion. All of our members are amazed at this fantastic track and its facilities. We will definitely be using the track in the future for our regular track events.”
InterContinental Hotels Group’s Crowne Plaza recently opened on one of the UAE’s most exciting projects, Yas Island. The hotel is within five minutes walking distance of the Yas Marina Circuit.
