FileNet Corporation, the leading provider of Enterprise Content Management and Business Process Management solutions, and McLaren Software, a leading independent software vendor specialising in engineering content management applications and a member of FileNet’s Independent Software Vendor (ISV) program, have announced the appointment of joint channel partners across the Middle East.

FileNet is set to have a strong presence at GITEX Dubai 2005, where it will showcase its portfolio of products along with an array of partner solutions including that of McLaren Software, and will seek to leverage the exhibition platform to build on joint partnerships in the Middle East.

FileNet and McLaren announced the availability of the Enterprise Engineer application suite for the FileNet P8 Enterprise Content Management (ECM) platform in early 2005. Enterprise Engineer is a suite of configurable out-of-the-box applications that manage all forms of engineering content, such as drawings, specifications and correspondence. It addresses the business requirements of organizations in process manufacturing, oil and gas, utilities, government, design and constructions sectors, as well as other organizations operating large facilities.

"With the Enterprise Engineer suite now being available on the FileNet P8 ECM platform, we can better help our customers to manage complex engineering content and automate critical engineering processes to improve quality and decision making across the organizations," said Alessio Gallo, International Sales Director, Middle East and Africa, FileNet. "In order to fully exploit the market opportunities in Middle East, FileNet and McLaren have decided to appoint joint channel partners in the region."

Tim Taylor, Chief Business Development Officer at McLaren, said, “The combination of FileNet P8 platform and Enterprise Engineer, bridge the gap between the company’s engineering group and other parts of the business that rely on having correct, timely engineering content to get their jobs done. By ensuring easy access to the right engineering content to plant operations, maintenance and procurement personnel, errors are eliminated, resulting in fewer unplanned outages, improved compliance and reduced costs.”
