FINE Hygienic Paper Company and FINE Sancella Hygiene Jordan (FINE SCA) recently entered into a strategic alliance with the USAID-funded Jordan Health Communication Partnership / Johns Hopkins University / Center for Communication Programs to launch the new “Talking Frankly” initiative with the collaboration of Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education, that aims to raise awareness of adolescent health and hygiene issues to students throughout Jordan.
The “Talking Frankly” initiative aims to benefit approximately 42,000 students from the sixth to the tenth grade with a total of 156 lectures in 24 schools across Amman, Zarqa, and North of Jordan to include 75 lectures at 10 girls’ schools and 81 lectures at 14 boys’ schools. The initiative aims at encouraging students to adopt healthy behaviors at their school which will lead to healthy practices and a healthy lifestyle with their families.

Wisam Qarqash, Senior Education and Health Communication Specialist at the Jordan Health Communication Partnership, said: “This partnership with the private sector in the areas of health and hygiene among young generations aims to raise awareness among students from sixth to tenth grade to encourage them to adopt and practice healthy behaviors. Under this initiative, students along with their parents and teachers will have the opportunity to participate in a competition which calls for the design and implementation of activities related to health and hygiene. The winning school will be recognized during a rewards ceremony towards the end of the academic year.
Upon signature of the MOU both parties agreed to explore more collaboration opportunities at the Jordan as well as Regional level.
