Portland Fire burned Los Angeles Sparks' franchise-record 12-game winning streak with an 80-77 victory in the women's NBA before an announced crowd of 4,416 at the Forum in Inglewood, California Tuesday.

Mwadi Mabika shot 22 for the Sparks while DeLisha Milton added 15, Tamecka Dixon 12, and Lisa Leslie 10, however, they missed a golden opportunity to take the lead after Milton missed a lay-up with 8.5 seconds left.

Portland conquered LA without starting center Sylvia Crawley after she sprained her right ankle and reserve forward Alisa Burras who couldn't make the trip because of a slightly torn meniscus.

Crawley is second on the Fire in scoring, averaging 13.0 points per game, whereas Burras is the No.3 scorer, with an 8.6 average - (Agencies)
