An accidental fire postponed the takeoffs of two flights at Cairo's international airport, but caused no injuries, according to airport sources.
The fire, caused by a short-circuit, broke out in a storage area in the airport's transit hall, the sources said. Smoke spread throughout the airport through the air conditioning system and the departures of two airplanes to London and Geneva were delayed by half an hour, the sources added, according to AFP.
