ALBAWABA - A fire broke out on board a ship that was passing through the Gulf of Aden near Yemen as a result of a missile attack, the British maritime security agency reported on Thursday.
According to United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations, "two missiles attacked a vessel, resulting in a fire onboard." "Coalition forces are responding," the statement continued.
A report by the security firm Ambrey affirmed that a fire broke aboard a Palau-flagged, British-owned general cargo ship following two missile strikes southeast of Yemen's Aden.
The ship "appeared to be headed from Map Ta Phut, Thailand, and headed in the direction of the Red Sea. Merchant shipping is advised to stay clear of the vessel and proceed with caution," Ambrey said.
