At least eight people were killed and 60 wounded late Sunday after a huge fire swept through the tax-free zone of Egypt's Mediterranean city of Port Said, hospital sources said.
Rescue teams pulled out the charred bodies of a man and a woman from a burnt-out home, and rescue operations continued two hours after the alarm was raised.
The blaze, which started when a gas canister exploded in one of the homes, spread through narrow alleyways, making it difficult for ambulances and fire engines to approach the scene. (Albawaba.com)
