Saudi Arabia, represented by the Secretary General of King Faisal International Prize Dr. Abdullah Al-Otheimeen attended the First Conference of Arab Intellectuals, which began its three-day deliberations in Amman Thursday.
The conference is expected to discuss working papers and studies on formulating a unified Arab Strategy to protect Arab culture from foreign dangers and the role of Arab intellectuals in defense of current Arab issues, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
On his part, Jordan’s Culture Minister, Haider Mahmoud and other speakers stressed in their speeches the necessity of strengthening cooperation among Arab countries in the cultural arena. (Albawaba.com)
