First Etisalat Employees Ramadan Football Tournament Draws To a Close

The First Etisalat Employee Ramadan Football Tournament, which was comprised of 30 teams from across the company, came to a close yesterday crowning Etisalat Abu Dhabi Team as a winner after they won the final match.

The winner was presented the award of the tournament at the closing ceremony. The top scorer, the best player and the best goalkeeper were also honored by individual prizes. The ceremony was attended by a number of Etisalat senior executives and employees.

The final match, which was held in Abu Dhabi Country Club, saw a great challenge between the two finalists, who were keen on winning the cup of the first employees' tournament. The Ramadan championship included three groups, 10 teams in each representing the 3 main regions of Etisalat including Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Northern Emirates.

Nasser Bin Obood Al Falasi, Acting Chief Executive Officer at Etisalat, praised the tournament and he confirmed the importance of organising such activities for the employees. These events have a significant role in enhancing the relations between Etisalat staff and positively affecting their career level.

Bin Obood praised the winners and the organisers of the tournament who managed the matches during the first competitions in different regions and at the finals. He confirmed that this quality management reflects that the organisers are well prepared to manage such events.

Jaber Al Janahi, Acting Vice President Corporate Communications, said: "The Corporate Communications Department at Etisalat is committed to launch many initiatives that enhance the cooperation among Etisalat employees. These activities include cultural, sports and social events that create goodwill among the staff and as a result a comfortable working environment at the company."

Engineer Ahmed Bin Ali, Group Senior VPCC Etisalat attended the tournament and awarded the winners.
