Dr. Yaseen Abdul-Alim al-Qubati had been chosen by the World Health Organization (WHO) to be awarded the Dr. Shusha prize in appreciation of his efforts exerted in the health care field.
The prize is allocated to those who hold pioneer roles in developing the health care field in the Middle East, the Yemen news agency reported. This marks the first time a Yemeni doctor has been awarded this prize. (Albawaba.com)
