Five thousand Moroccans obtained German citizenship in 1999, making them second largest community after Turkish-born residents who were admitted as citizens of the European country, Maghreb Arabe Presse (MAP) reported Saturday.
A report by the federal statistics bureau of Wiesbaden (south-western Germany) was quoted by the agency as saying that "some 103,900 Turkish people obtained German citizenship topping all successful candidates" -- Albawaba.com
