Dubai is in for a super singing performance when the finalists of Superstar's third season rock the Ford stand during the 2005 Middle East International Motor Show.  The motor show runs from December 12-16 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

On December 12 and 14, the Superstar finalists will sing on the Ford stand in Hall 3 of the Exhibition Centre from 19:00-21:00, and will be available for autographs and photographs with their fans.

Based on FremantleMedia’s worldwide format success - Idols, Superstar is a music talent competition that sees thousands of contestants from Arab countries audition for the chance to become a solo mega music star in the Arab world. Participants are reduced to 12 finalists by viewers who vote by telephone, text messages and online, and in the end one contestant wins. Superstar is produced and aired by Future Television.

“Music has a universal appeal, and youngsters with musical talents can surely capture hearts. We’re hoping to bring a little of the Superstar magic to the Ford stand at this year’s motor show,” said Hussein Murad, Sales & Marketing Director, Ford Middle East.

“We are confident that supporting a phenomenally successful programme so close to the hearts of young Arabs will help further strengthen the relationship Ford is building with them,” he added.

The first episode of season three of Superstar began on September 25 with thousands of contestants vying to be the next singing sensation of the Arab world. More than 45 thousand participants from around the Arab world, as well as Arabs residing as far away as Los Angeles and Detroit in the US, and Sydney in Australia, were given the opportunity to audition for a spot on this show.

This year’s panel of judges includes Lebanese composer Ziad Boutros, Lebanese musician and composer Elias Rahbani, artist Fadia Tanab and Kuwaiti composer Abdullah Algoud.

Earlier this year, Ford launched its new youth-driven communications strategy in the Middle East featuring the all-new Mustang, Focus, Fiesta, and the Mondeo ST220.

"These new Ford products are built according to design elements appealing to the new generation of youngsters. The presence of the Superstar finalists at our motor show stand, coupled with our new, youth-driven and dynamic products will surely create a sensation among the Arab youth visiting the show," added Murad.

The 2005 Middle East International Motor Show will take place December 12-16, open from 11am-10pm everyday, and 3pm-10pm on Friday December 16, 2005.
