Former Indian prime minister P.V. Narasimha Rao was handed a three-year prison sentence Thursday for his role in a 1993 bribery scandal, reported (AFP)
The same sentence was handed down by judge Ajit Bharihoke on former home minister Buta Singh.
Both men were fined 100,000 rupees (2,200 dollars) in addition to the jail terms – (AFP)
