ALBAWABA - Concerns have been expressed by former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett on what he sees as a strategic error that has allowed Iran to encircle Israel with a "ring of fire" on seven fronts. This occurs in the wake of the killing of Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, which has the nation on high alert for any Iranian reprisals.

Bennett cited a special broadcast from Israel's Channel 12 that he said highlighted a significant shortcoming in Israeli policy in a message that was distributed on social media by X (previously Twitter). He proposed that by concentrating on Iran's main sources of strength, Israel still has a chance to effectively defeat it.

Yoav Gallant, the defense minister, has also joined in, saying that if Iran and Hezbollah strike Israel, they should be ready for an unparalleled response. According to Israel's Broadcasting Authority, he made these remarks in reaction to threats against Israel that may encompass new strategies never before used against the country.

Although Gallant expressed optimism that the incident would not grow further, he confirmed that the Israeli military is prepared to react. In the meantime, Yoav Kisch, the minister of education, has underlined how inevitable a confrontation with Hezbollah may be. He has also warned Iran that it will suffer catastrophic repercussions if it engages in direct combat with Hezbollah.

Israel has alerted its military and vital infrastructure in case of any retaliation from Iran and Hezbollah. This increased preparedness comes after Fuad Shukr, the commander of Hezbollah, and Haniyeh were killed in southern Beirut. Observers in the Israeli media have pointed out that the prolonged state of uncertainty is adding to the psychological strain on the country.
