ALBAWABA - Former Nagorno-Karabakh separatist leader Ruben Vardanyan was put in detention on Thursday ahead of a possible trial by an Azerbaijani court.
AFP reported that Vardanyan was charged by Azerbaijan with financing terrorism and other crimes.
According to Azerbaijan's state security service, a Baku court said that the businessman who headed the ethnic Armenian region from November 2022 until February 2023, should be jailed and placed in pre-trial detention for four months.
