Four young men have been arrested in Dubai on the charge of mugging two women in two separate incidents. Police say they physically assaulted the passersby and sprayed some chemicals on their eyes to flee with their handbags.
A Dubai Police spokesman told Khaleej Times Tuesday that the accused included two Gulf nationals and two Iranians.
Taking into account the seriousness of the crime and the brutal means adopted by the criminals, said the paper, the Crime Investigation Department of Dubai Police prepared a plan to track down the culprits. They succeeded in tracing the rented car which had been used by the assailants in both attacks.
