Four people arrested by anti-terrorist police are still being questioned in connection with last week's attacks on the United States, Scotland Yard said on Saturday.
A man aged 27 and a woman aged 25 were arrested at a house in west London on Friday.
A second man, aged 29, was arrested at a separate address in west London. Officers searched both premises using powers under the Terrorism Act.
A third man was arrested by anti-terrorist officers at an address in Birmingham, central England.
The suspects were still being questioned Saturday afternoon at a central London police station, police sources said.
After holding the suspects for 48 hours the police must ask a magistrate for authorization to detain them for a further 48 hours.
If a magistrate agrees the suspects could be held for up to a week without charges being brought against them -- LONDON (AFP)
