A three-floor building collapsed in Alexandria Saturday, injuring four people, Egypt's MENA news agency reported.

Aid workers rushed the four victims, two of whom were children, to the hospital, said MENA, which did not specify the seriousness of their injuries.

Building collapses have been all too common in Egypt in recent years.

Both Alexandria and Cairo suffer from a severely tight housing market, prompting many residents to risk their lives in old homes rather than trying to find safer buildings.
