Four Palestinians and two Israeli soldiers were killed during heavy fighting Wednesday evening in the West Bank town of Qalqilyah. At least three other Israeli troops were wounded. Two of them were moderately injured, while one was lightly hurt, according to Israeli reports.
The Qalqilyah fighting took place as troops surrounded the home of a PA intelligence officer in the town. He was killed during the gunbattle.
The Israeli army is in control of the town and carrying out searches. The Israeli army is also in control of the Jenin refugee camp, reported Isaeli sources.
