Four People Murdered in Algeria by Suspected Militants

Four people were murdered in two attacks by suspected armed Islamist groups southwest of the capital Algiers, newspapers reported on Wednesday. 

Three farmers had their throats cut and another was shot dead in the attacks, which took place on Monday night in the Sidi Bel Abbes region, 440 kilometers (270 miles) southwest of Algiers. 

The three farmers were attacked on their farm at Zahana, while the fourth victim, a motorist, died after being stopped at a roadblock on the road between Tenira and Oued Seyfoune, newspapers said -- ALGIERS (AFP)
