Two Russian soldiers were killed and another four wounded in overnight Chechen guerrilla attacks in the ruined separatist capital Grozny, Interfax reported Wednesday citing federal military command.
A wave of attacks also hit other regions of the republic. One officer was reported killed when a remote-controlled explosive device went off as a Russian column moved past the southern settlement of Samashki.
And a driver was killed in an assassination attempt on the local administration chief of Grozny's Zavodskoy district, reports said.
