Fragrance Foundation Arabia, the industry body of the growing fragrance industry in the Middle East, is welcoming Firmenich as a new member. Firmenich's membership follows briefly after they launched their presence in the region. The company is a world leader in its field, more than a century old and originates in Switzerland.

Shahzad Haider, chairman of the Fragrance Foundation Arabia welcomes Firminich as a member and says: "Firmenich has created many of the world's best-known perfumes and flavours that we enjoy each day. It is renowned for its creativity and innovation, as well as its exceptional understanding of consumer trends. As such Firmenich is both a natural fit and a winning partner for Fragrance Foundation Arabia.".

Asked for the reasons to join the Middle East chapter of The Fragrance Foundation, Louis Lecoeur, General Manager Firmenich Dubai and new Board Member of the Fragrance Foundation Arabia, stated: "We decided to join Fragrance Foundation Arabia as we truly believe that the perfume market will benefit from the association of the biggest perfume players of the Middle East. Perfumes in the region are like nowhere else in the world because Arabs have a unique passion for fragrances. They have been able to maintain the ancient tradition of oriental fragrances and incense while moving to the new world of perfumery. I strongly believe the fragrance association will benefit both international brands and traditional Arab perfumes. As manufacturers, distributors and suppliers of fragrances we all have the duty to support growth and education of this unique luxury market."

"Firmenich's decades of experience in the fragrance industry as well as their engagement in all other chapters of The Fragrance Foundation worldwide will surely help us to achieve our goals as Fragrance Foundation Arabia to enhance the industry standard in the region", Grit Pannier, president of Fragrance Foundation Arabia, added.
