Eton Institute, a prominent language institute based in Dubai Knowledge Village, announced that they will be hosting free language courses in Spanish for the public, for an entire month, as part of a CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiative to promote language diversity and education. The Institute, that have in the past conducted free courses in popular languages such as Arabic, French, Mandarin (Chinese), German etc., launched an online poll last month on their Facebook fan page for followers and language enthusiasts to decide which language they would like to learn for free this July. Spanish, with 34% votes, won with a convincing lead and took the top spot beating 8 other languages, including French, which came in a close second place.

Dr. Eli Abi Rached, Director of Eton Institute, commented "Here's another great win for España! Spanish is an extremely rewarding language as it can be mastered easily with relatively less effort in comparison with most other languages. It shares a lot of similarities with English which is why it is often regarded as the easiest language for English speakers to learn."

Spanish, the third most commonly spoken language in the world, is the official language of over 20 countries, spoken by over 400 million people worldwide. Due to its widespread nature, the language has evolved into many different variations and dialects after adopting unique characteristics from the different places where it is spoken. Castilian Spanish spoken mainly in Spain and Latin American Spanish predominant in South and North America are the two most popularly recognized variants of the language.

Dr. Eli added "El Mundo de Español - the Spanish speaking world, extends over four continents. Learning Spanish can take you a long way, all around the world!"
