Jordan's King Abdullah held talks Monday with French chief-of-staff, General Jean Pierre Kelche, on ways of bolstering bilateral military cooperation, official Petra news agency said.
"His majesty expressed his satisfaction with the excellent relations between France and Jordan and said Jordan looked forward to reinforcing these ties on all fronts," Petra said.
On Monday, Kelche was also received by his Jordanian counterpart, Major General Mohammed Yussef Melkawi, and their talks centered on the situation in the region and ways of strengthening bilateral cooperation, Petra said.
Kelche arrived late Sunday in Jordan for a short visit that is to include meetings with Jordan's top military officials and a review of joint military exercises, French embassy sources said - AMMAN (AFP)
