French foreign minister Jean-Marc Ayrault will arrive in Cairo on Wednesday for a two-day visit to participate in a meeting at the Arab League to discuss the revival of the peace process in the Middle East, the French embassy in Cairo announced in a statement on Tuesday.
The French foreign minister will discuss with his Arab counterparts the French initiative for an international conference to revive the Israeli-Palestinian peace process.
Ayrault will also meet with Egyptian foreign minister Sameh Shoukry and representatives of Egyptian civil society.
He will also discuss with Egyptian officials the preparations for French President Francois Hollande's visit to Egypt in April, according to Egyptian news reports.
