A French journalist was on Saturday shot and seriously wounded while covering violent clashes between armed Palestinians and the Israeli forces in Ramallah, according to sources.
Jacques-Marie Bourget, 57, who works for the French magazine Paris-Match was shot in his chest with a live round as clashes raged, and was rushed to Ramallah hospital, said the sources.
AFP quoted doctors at the hospital as saying Bourget went under an operation, and he would recover.
