French companies are showcasing a wide array of hi-tech services and equipment related to the airport sector at the country’s dedicated pavilion at the Airport Show 2010.

The Airport Show 2010, held from April 25-27 at the Airport Expo Dubai will also host national pavilions from China, UK, Germany, Italy, Denmark, and Switzerland.

Some 10 leading French companies are exhibiting at the show aiming to capitalize on the growth potential offered by the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia airport market, a region that is on the fast-track of growth with 39 airports under construction.

The French exhibitors will showcase innovative sets of products and services that will help in the development and maintenance of all airport facilities in the region. These include aircraft servicing equipment, airport handling, docking and access systems, training solutions, automation and paperless cargo processing and recovery of aircraft.

Mrs. Sophie Issovits, Chief of Airport Projects at UBI France, organizers of the French pavilion said: “The growth in global air traffic and investments in the airport infrastructure, particularly in the MENA and South Asian countries, represent a huge potential for French companies. These companies can especially benefit from the airport projects in the UAE, KSA, Oman, Egypt and Libya. UBI France works to enable French airport services and equipment providers who have huge expertise in high tech sectors such as security, air traffic control and geo-location to reach out to more markets. Already, French companies have signed important contracts in many sectors in the UAE including logistics, aerospace, energy and environment.”

One of the key companies participating in the French pavilion, USIMAT SERMEES will be demonstrating its new innovations. The company has a special focus on technologies for reducing CO2 emissions at airports, and has equipped its entire range of servicing, toilet waste disposal and drinking water trolleys with electric engines.
