Freshfields advises ADCB on Data Centre Services agreement

International law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has advised leading UAE bank ADCB on its Data Centre Services agreement with Injazat Data Systems.

Under the terms of the agreement, Injazat will provide ADCB with a secure and reliable environment for all of ADCB’s mission-critical IT infrastructure and systems through its new Abu Dhabi-based Tier IV Data Centre, the first certified commercially-available facility of its kind in the region. ADCB infrastructure and services will benefit from the data centre’s fully-redundant facilities with 24/7 onsite security and technical support.

Freshfields partner David Higgins comments: ‘We are delighted to have advised ADCB on this agreement, which will give crucial support to the bank’s business operations infrastructure. This deal marks a significant step forward for the financial services IT sector in the Emirates.’

Freshfields’ team was led by corporate partner David Higgins (Abu Dhabi), working with IP/IT partner Jochen Dieselhorst (Hamburg), corporate senior associate Omar Momany (Abu Dhabi) and IP/IT associate Börge Ingo Seeger (Hamburg).
