The Free Syrian Army chief of staff denied that his organisation had any involvement in the rocket attacks that struck southern Beirut on Sunday morning, Al Arabiya reported.
Speaking on the television channel, Salam Idris said that Hezbollah and the Syrian regime are responsible for the eruption of violence in Lebanon.
Two Grad rockets landed in the southern area of Beirut, a Hezbollah stronghold, on Sunday morning causing at least five injuries. The attacks comes after Hezbollah militants stepped up their involvement in the Syrian conflict, with thousands involved battling FSA fighters in the strategic town of Qusayr, near the Lebanese border.
