A truck carrying diesel fuel overturned and caught fire Sunday on the border between Lebanon and Syria, killing at least 15 people and injuring 15, the Lebanese president's office said.
The truck had crossed the Masnaa checkpoint into Lebanon when its brakes apparently stopped working and it hit a Lebanese customs office, security officials said, according to AP.
The truck overturned on several cars and caught fire, setting the building and several other vehicles ablaze, the officials said. Witnesses said ambulances were rushing to the scene and the charred bodies of several victims were being removed from cars. (Albawaba.com)
