'Fun at the fair' arrives at mercato and town centre jumeirah during Dubai summer surprises
Savvy shopping, superior settings and fantastic discounts are not the only reasons to head to Mercato and Town Centre Jumeirah this summer. Both venues will also recreate the jovial atmosphere of an old fashioned funfair.
From June 19 to August 22, both malls will host activities with a 'Fun at the Fair' theme during the 11th annual Dubai Summer Surprises. Shoppers can expect a transformation at both centers, experiencing a charming 'old world' feel as they shop. The central stage at Mercato will be set to resemble a traditional ferris wheel from a bygone age, while magicians, mimes, magic mirrors and maypoles will bring to life a light-hearted fantasy world at both malls. Plentiful activities will provide colour and fun for the entire family, with treats like maypoles to dance around and typical fairground attractions.
Additional activities include 'Journey from the Orient', a striking collection of photographs by travel photographer Gilles Delmotte capturing the essence of Dubai and beyond. This will take place at the ground floor in Mercato from June 26 to July 9, with a special VIP reception on June 26, during which customers can meet the photographer and learn more about how he portrays our vibrant city.
On July 11, Mercato will host the Jumeirah Giant Charity Cake Sale in conjunction with Jumeirah hotels in aid of the Dubai Autism Centre, with all proceeds going to the charity.
Throughout Dubai Summer Surprises, Mercato and Town Centre Jumeirah will also run a fabulous Spend-2-Win promotion. For every spend of AED 200 in any outlet in either mall, in accumulated or single purchase receipts, customers will be entered into a draw to win a total of AED 4,500,000 in cash. There will be 5 weekly winners of AED 100,000 each. Draws will take place every Friday evening during DSS.
Finally, both malls will have huge discounts of up to 80 percent as well as special offers at popular stores including GAP, Mamas & Papas, Bersheka, Cerruti ,Aldo, Nayomi, River Woods, VIP, Sketchers, Ivy, Nike, Nine West and Calonge throughout the summer festival.
