Luxury shopping destination encourages children to explore their film- making and other skills during the Art Surprises Week from 28th June- 4th July

After the beautiful flower petal rain to launch the 10-week long DSS 2007 last week, shoppers can expect more surprises during the 2nd week of the festival at BurJuman, where the ultimate luxury shopping destination is showcasing an array of mind- blowing hand-miming, animated activities and media, film and art workshops for the whole family as part of the Art Surprises week.

All week-long, future Spielbergs are being given the chance to explore their creativity with movie cameras and make movies of their choice in the film and art workshop from 7.30 pm – 10.30 pm daily. Children can also watch their favourite animation movies from across the world in the Cube Cinema every day from 5.00 pm- 7.30 pm.

Other exciting activities include the Two Hands Mime show from 6 pm – 7 pm conducted by the popular Lebanese Mime group 'Sowar', meaning pictures or photos in Arabic. The art form is expressive and the group tells a story as well as interacts with the audience. They are covered from head to toe in clay and it's amazing to see them interact with audiences without speaking.  There is also a clay centre where children can use their skills and mould clay into their favourite animals.

Shoppers can also enjoy the art on display which includes an exhibition of paintings of an Iranian artist and a photography exhibition of three artists from Dubai.

BurJuman is also participating in the Dubai Shopping Malls Group (DSMG) exciting summer promotion offering shoppers who spend AED 200 the fantastic opportunity to “Shop and Win Millions.”
