On the occasion of the 64th anniversary of the Kingdom’s Independence, 25 May 2010, Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) raised the photos of His Majesty King Abdullah II and Jordan’s flag at the main squares and streets of Amman city.
The middle islands were also ornamented with 300 lighting boards with the Royal Crown emblem and the Hashemite necklace, in addition to flowers from the Jordanian environment.
Mayor of Amman, Omar Maani, said that celebrating the Independence Day represents an opportunity to remember the achievements realized in all epochs of the Hashemite reign on all levels. Ever since this day (Independence Day), Jordan is growing and prospering at a speedy pace, coming to its peak under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II who does not spare any moment or effort to build the model homeland, and to realize the best way of living for his countrymen.
On this occasion, Maani expressed the best felicitations and congratulations to His Majesty King Abdullah II, praying to His Almighty, God, to keep HM, and help him realize more achievements to sustain the independence and pride of this nation.
