Clashes on Friday between Israeli forces and Palestinian gunmen in the Gaza Strip left five Palestinians dead. According to the AP, Israeli aircraft launched missiles at three Hamas members on motorcycles, killing all three, Palestinian health officials said. The Israeli military said the men were carrying anti-tank missiles.
Two other Palestinian fighters from the Islamic Jihad movement died in central Gaza Strip, health officials said. The military said it fired at gunmen approaching the security fence along Israel's border.
Separately, Israel's military said in a statement Friday that troops discovered missiles and an anti-tank launcher in the yard of a school in east Gaza, close to Israel's border.
