Hamas on Thursday stressed that all armed wings in Gaza Strip are bracing up for any large-scale Israeli invasion, pointing out that the recent Israeli air strikes, which claimed the lives of at least 24 fighters, are only one practical result of the Annapolis conference.
Dr. Sami Abu Zuhri, Hamas spokesman in the Strip, called on PA leader Mahmoud Abbas to break his silence about the Israeli aggressions on Gaza Strip and to determine his position clearly.
For its part, the Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, vowed to prepare "death traps" for the Israeli troops on the doorsteps of Gaza Strip, confirming that it will resume the attacks on the troops in time. In a communiquécited by the PIC, the Brigades warned of the repercussions of continuing to give the Israeli occupation "free gifts and sterile normalization."
Meanwhile, the Brigades announced the death of Ahmed Abul-Awn, 23, and the injury of two others on Wednesday evening while preparing an explosive device to be detonated in the east of Gaza Strip.
In the West Bank, an Israeli special force killed on Wednesday evening Mohamed Salah, a member of the PA national security in downtown Bethlehem.
