Three Palestinians including a 13-year-old were killed in Israeli air raids on the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, medics and witnesses said.

The teenager, Majd Khalil Abu Okal, was killed in the raid on Beit Lahia in northern Gaza Strip, said Muawiya Hassanein, the head of Gaza emergency services. Another person was injured in the raid, AFP reported. A short time later, a second Palestinian, Ali al-Dahduh, 32, was killed by Israeli fire in central Gaza Strip, emergency services and witnesses said. An Israeli army spokeswoman said an air strike was conducted "against a group of Palestinians who positioned an explosive device" near a security post on the Gaza border with Israel.

In another Israeli strike in the southern Gaza Strip, Hamas said one of its fighters was killed and two wounded in another Israeli attack, on the south side of Gaza City. The Israeli military said aircraft were in action in that area.

Three rockets were fired by Gaza gunners at southern Israel on Tuesday without causing any casualties, Israeli military officials said.
