Bahrain is gearing up for the Red Bull 25-hour Karting 2006 Middle East Championship, which has been taking the region by storm as the ultimate display of endurance and stamina. The final round in this annual event is organized by SportsStars in collaboration with the Bahrain Motor Federation (BMF). The event is held regionally and recently took place in Dubai; other countries include Jordan and Kuwait.

The endurance race, which runs 25 hours non-stop and requires teams to relay between members, will take place at the Seef Go-Karting Track on 8th December, where the race will start at 4pm, and will continue until 5pm the next day.

Approximately 20 teams are expected to participate in this year’s test of skill and stamina, including: Batelco, who have been the champions two years in a row, the BWTC- Unstoppabulls (Owned by Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa), and Al Wataniya from Kuwait. All three teams held the top three placements in last year's race, as well as in the recent Dubai race.

“The additional hour of racing time compels teams to review their time calculation, technical inspection, and shift schedule, in order to ensure optimum performance and efficient role distribution- even the slightest lack of precision can cost precious minutes," said Mr. Ahmed Shehi from SportStars.

"However, up-and-coming drivers will have to display more than their racing skills and ability, they will also have to demonstrate their resilience and staying power to conquer the challenge.” Mr. Shehi concluded.

The Bahrain event promises plenty of pulse-racing excitement- particularly in light of the Kingdom’s motor sports history and home of the region’s first and only Formula One circuit.

Entries are still being accepted for the Red Bull 25-Hour Karting 2006 Middle East Championship. Each team participating will include four to twelve drivers. Future F1 stars can enter by calling +973 394 19948 or e-mailing
