German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder is expected to make an official visit to Jordan at the end of October as part of a regional tour, the German embassy said Wednesday.
The visit will take place October 30 and 31, a spokesman for the embassy said.
Al-Dustour Arabic-language newspaper reported meanwhile that Schroeder will hold talks with King Abdullah II and Prime Minister Ali Abu Ragheb on the Middle East peace process and bilateral relations, notably economic issues.
Schroeder pledged to help Jordan come to terms with more than seven billion dollars in foreign debts during a meeting with Abdullah in Bonn in May.
