German exports of beauty products to Gulf countries have witnessed a 50 percent increase to about $102 million during 1996-1999. Of this, the UAE accounted for $65 million and the Saudi Arabian market for the rest, Khaleej Times reported Wednesday.
Cosmetics made in Germany cover seven percent of German exports of finished products to the UAE, according to Udo Frenzel of German Cosmetics, Toiletries, Perfumes and Detergents Association (IKW), which is supporting the German national pavilion at Gulf Beauty 2000 exhibition, the daily added - Albawaba.com
