In Germany, the Free Democratic Party emphasized the right of the Palestinian people for statehood and to live in a democratic country.
In a statement issued by the general conference held Saturday, the party's leadership called upon Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat to stop what is termed "terrorism and pursuit its master-minders".
According to KUNA, it said that stopping terrorism alone is not enough, however Israel must also pull out its tanks from Palestinian towns, end the construction of settlements and evacuate those that thus far have been established.
In addition, the conference expressed support to the arrangement of the peace process in the Middle East, which guarantees the right of Israel for existence and the Palestinians’ right for establishing an independent state. (Albawaba.com)
