The bodies of 10 German tourists killed in the Istanbul terror attack were returned to Germany on Saturday, according to an Anadolu Agency correspondent.
The remains were ferried from the forensics building where they had been kept to Ataturk International Airport accompanied by a police escort before being flown by a German Air Force cargo aircraft to Germany.
Ten Germans were killed by a suicide bomber as they toured Istanbul’s historic Sultanahmet Square on Tuesday.
Security forces have arrested dozens of people across Turkey, including three Russian nationals, for alleged links to Daesh since the bombing.
The Sultanahmet district, located on the European side of Istanbul, is home to the city’s most popular tourist sites and contains hundreds of hotels and restaurants.
