Following the success of the first installment of his song Khilset Sinet El Alfain (The Year 2000 Has Ended), Ghassan Rahbani has decided to shoot the song’s sequel, reported ‘Al Sharq El Awsat’ daily newspaper.
The second part of the satirical song will be directed by Shadi Hanna and will take 10 days, said the London based daily.
Meanwhile, The Year 2000 was written, composed and distributed by Ghassan Rahbani. It targets issues of Lebanon’s political, social and economic state.
Rahbani, the youngest of Elias Rahbani’s children, is known for his adamant stand against airing his work on satellite television. His argument; his songs are purely about Lebanon.
However, the singer recently changed his mind stating that politicians who are presented through the satellite networks depict Lebanon in a bad light – Albawaba.com.
